We opted to get the top-of-the-line car seat from Britax because we figured spending good money on our son's safety was more important than pretty much anything else we could think of. The video on the manufacturer's website affirmed our choice. It was rear-facing in the back of our Hybrid for a few months, and now it fits (more comfortable, of course) in our new minivan. Though when in the Hybrid it took away most of the middle back seat, I was glad to know that whoever sat next to it would also be afforded extra protection. When we had it installed, the California Highway Patrol officer who helped us, who has two older kids, said that of all the ones he'd installed, that's the one he'd get for his kids in a heartbeat, which is always great to hear.

I bought this carseat to replace the Britax Carrier carseat that my little girl had been using. It is perfect. It is heavy, well built, and makes me feel so much better about carrying my little girl in my car. I have two children under 2 and they both ride in a Britax. I wouldn't have it any other way. Even though they are a little expensive, please remember, you usually get what you pay for in the end.
